Silly Day
Today we stayed home ALL day. Not something we do often. I had a ton of laundry to do and kinda left Brooklyn to do her own thing. She got bored at times but for the most part kept herself pretty busy. She also cracked me up throughout the day. I captured most of the funny moments on camera. At one point I looked outside to check on her and she was there in the middle of the grass with Maddie. It was funny because Maddie was just minding her own business chewing on her bone and Brook was sitting on her back. What a good dog!! Unfortunately I didn't get out there in time to take a picture:(
Here are a couple of moments I did catch.
She had more fun on this now than when she was actually small enough to use it.

I thought she was out of hiding spots in the house, but alas, there was one more! I think this was the most surprising of them all. I didn't even know she could get it opened.

**Side Note**
Here are a couple cute videos of cousin time.

Brooklyn's Favorite Things
Brook's growing up REALLY fast! It's so much fun to see her imagination and creativity grow. Over the last couple of weeks she's come up with some fun activities. I know they are all things that every kid starts to do at some point, but it's just so much better when it's your kid doing it:)
Playing Hide and Seek...

Trying on any shoes she finds lying around....

Riding Maddie.....
And just looking cute!

My Little Sweetheart...
After a few moments of suspicious quiet I went to check on Brooklyn. She, of course, was into something she shouldn't be. Luckily I caught her in time and she only applied my lip gloss to a couple areas of her face.

The irritation that she exhibited was camera/video worthy. Such a sweet little girl;)

Cold Season
Here at the Vander Molen's we've officially kicked off the cold season. Brooklyn has been watching us closely and practicing for the inevitable future colds.

Someone's Pregnant!!!!
At our MOM's group we recently had a nutritionist speak that told us that toddlers generally don't over feed themselves. With Brooklyn that theory is usually true. However, tonight she decided she REALLY liked her yogurt and ate almost the whole 6 oz (that's a lot for her) and then drank a 6 oz bottle. She walked over to me while I was at the computer and I looked down to see a "pregnant 1 year old". Pretty hilarious if you ask me!!

Funny Drama
I'm not really sure why, but I found this moment kinda funny and thought I'd get it on video. I can't really put my finger on why it makes me laugh so I thought I'd share it and see if it makes you laugh too.

San Clemente 2008
Last weekend we spent a few days "camping" in San Clemente with the Van Duyn's. We had so much fun that we're gonna try to do it for a week next summer.
Brook and Wyatt had fun just hanging around the camp site. When they got out of hand we caged them up!

Saturday we went off on our own and spent a couple hours at the tide pools in Dana Point. Brooklyn loved collecting rocks and having daddy chase her into the water.

This was the first time Brooklyn and Wyatt had been to the beach. They both LOVED it! They had no fear of the water what so ever. And they loved it when the water would knock them over. When we had enough water time they both played nicely in the sand.
