Yesterday we welcomed the new addition to our family. Her and Maddie got along very well. I don't have a lot of words right now (none positive anyways). So here are some fun pictures.

Easter 2009

This Easter we enjoyed a fun filled relaxing weekend. We kicked off the celebration at Grammy & Papa's house Saturday night. We had a delicious family dinner and Brooklyn's first Easter egg hunt. Unfortunately I forgot my camera:( Sunday morning we went to church...Brooklyn loved her new dress.

After church we came home and had our own little Easter egg hunt in our back yard. I think Brook enjoyed looking for the eggs, especially since there was a little candy in each one.





After lunch and our little family Easter we headed over to Nana & Grampa's for more egg hunts and dinner. As soon as Kate arrived the pretending began. Brook ran into the family room and laid on the ground saying, "oh no, oh no!" Kate promptly ran into the room to awaken her with a magic kiss....then Brook returned the favor:)

Growth Spurt

I feel like Brooklyn's been growing right before my eyes the last month or so. So this morning I decided to weigh and measure her and plot her on a growth chart. I prefer to do this task myself, instead of having her pediatrician do it. He doesn't mind. When we go in he asks, "So what's her weight and height?" OCD some might say. I just say involved:)

I was right! In the last 2 months or so she's gained 10 ounces and grew over and inch!! She's now 23 lbs. 13oz. and 32.5 inches. That places her at about 30th percentile for height and a little under 20th percentile for weight. Typical toddler build I'd say. Looks like she's not going to be getting any height from her daddy, but I can still hope.
