Christmas 2008

This year we had a fun and hectic Christmas, filled with a lot of family Christmas parties. Brooklyn still didn't get the whole present thing but we had fun anyways. Here are a few pictures....

Curt and Brooklyn on the way to the Christmas Eve service at church...

Christmas morning..

After we were done at our house we headed over to Nana and Grampa's to spend the day with my family.

The babies enjoyed the wrapping and the boxes the most:)

Here's John sporting his new growth.

Here's Shanna's face when asked what she thinks of John's new look.

Morning after Christmas enjoying her new toys.

The day after we celebrated with Curt's family. She was so excited about the new house Grammy and Papa got her.

Watching T.V. with her cousin Ava..

It took Curt a couple of hours to set up the kitchen that Nana and Grampa gave her. Totally worth the effort, she loves it!

Here are a couple of my favorite pictures taken during the holidays.
We are so blessed!

Beauty

I've been practicing with our new camera today and got some really good pictures of Brook in the bath. Now I see why people always say she should model....Our new camera helps me see more clearly the beauty that is Brooklyn.

Christmas Card Pictures

There was a big difference between this year and last year when it came to getting the perfect shot for a Christmas card. Last year the biggest challenge was trying to keep Brook's santa hat on her head. This year however was a whole other story.

Last year I got the perfect shots after just one sitting. Look how little she was!

This year I had to do a re shoot. I got a couple good ones, but not any that I felt were card worthy.

This one was cute...but note the top left corner. Not too appealing.

These ones turned out ok...

Here's a little glimpse of the "fun" we had.

Why Brooklyn is funny...

She walks like an old man...

She hides inside my furniture....

She makes good use of the ugly outfit her daddy got for her....

Anytime I put on Taylor Swift she goes to the corner, get's her sombrero and dances all over the house...

She Makes life interesting!!

Time for a new one

I received a request from my mother to post a new entry. She pointed out that the last one I did was Brooklyn sick. Well she's no longer sick but was so for about a week. Just a case of roseola. Anyways, I told my mom that I had nothing to blog about because nothing funny or exciting has happened. So here's a couple things that I thought might be interesting to view....

This is how I found Brooklyn's stuffed bear one day. For some reason I found it kinda funny..

And here's what we were privileged to witness on Thanksgiving day....

Silly Day

Today we stayed home ALL day. Not something we do often. I had a ton of laundry to do and kinda left Brooklyn to do her own thing. She got bored at times but for the most part kept herself pretty busy. She also cracked me up throughout the day. I captured most of the funny moments on camera. At one point I looked outside to check on her and she was there in the middle of the grass with Maddie. It was funny because Maddie was just minding her own business chewing on her bone and Brook was sitting on her back. What a good dog!! Unfortunately I didn't get out there in time to take a picture:(
Here are a couple of moments I did catch.

She had more fun on this now than when she was actually small enough to use it.

I thought she was out of hiding spots in the house, but alas, there was one more! I think this was the most surprising of them all. I didn't even know she could get it opened.

**Side Note**
Here are a couple cute videos of cousin time.

Brooklyn's Favorite Things

Brook's growing up REALLY fast! It's so much fun to see her imagination and creativity grow. Over the last couple of weeks she's come up with some fun activities. I know they are all things that every kid starts to do at some point, but it's just so much better when it's your kid doing it:)

Playing Hide and Seek...

Trying on any shoes she finds lying around....

Riding Maddie.....

And just looking cute!
