Pumpkin Patch 2009

Curt and I have decided to start a new family tradition, In-N-Out then Pa's Pumpkin Patch. I was also hoping to get some better pictures. We dressed up in our best fall gear and headed out.
Brooklyn had the best time running around and kicking the hay.

Sometimes she just has to dance!

Featured below is her reaction to some boys running by and messing up her groove. She let them have it!

She was so excited to go on a ride all by herself!

Until it started moving...not a great picture, but you get the point.

We had a great time in the mirror maze. She loved looking at herself and we loved watching her run into the see through glass over and over:)

We ended the night by letting Brooklyn pick some mini pumpkins.

She finally let me take some pictures on the bales of hay since she had jeans on to protect her "bum bum."

What a fun and simple tradition, can't wait for next year!

Not as planned....

Sunday we had our annual Pa's Pumpkin Patch outing. It didn't exactly go as planned. First we had problem after problem with Brooklyn's costume. After receiving the wrong costume from Target, sending it back, then receiving the wrong size we decided to just go and buy one from the store. The only one left that she was willing to wear was Minnie Mouse, except it was too big. After all the issues I just decided to get it and let it be big. So after all that, the day comes and Luke gets sick. So we were minus the Jacobs family.

All that being said we had a pretty good time. It was a little crowded so we didn't stay long, just enough for a photo shoot. We finished off the night with a pleasant dinner at Lonestar.

Brooklyn was not having it. She didn't like the feeling of sitting on the hay. I didn't try too hard, it wasn't worth it.

We got some cute shots of Javan, Jonah and Sydney.

I think Brooklyn looked pretty cute. She loves Minnie Mouse but would not let us call her Minnie Mouse.

She kept herself very busy piling the hay on top of each pumpkin.

Almost 2 1/2!!

Brooklyn is almost 2 1/2. I can't believe how quickly time has flown! Monday she had a doctor's appointment just to make sure she was healthy and hitting all her milestones. She's right on track:) She now weighs 25lbs 3oz and is 33 1/4". That puts her at about 5th percentile for height and around 15th for weight. Doesn't look like she'll be getting any of her dad's tall genes.

She's still providing us with tons of laughs. She's such a character! Her dramatic side is really starting to show. Here she is at her first trip to the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show this season. She watches it on TV now and she was star struck the whole time. She was trying to mimic the ladies facial expressions, pretty funny:)

San Clemente 2009

For our summer vacation we went to San Clemente for 10 whole days! We had a great relaxing time. Curt's parents were there for half of it and the Jacobs came for a weekend.

Brooklyn had a ton of fun with her cousins. We went to the beach and just hung out at the trailer.

Brooklyn is always so easy at the beach. Since she doesn't like to walk in sand we don't have to worry about her wondering off. Although by the end of the trip she got brave and would attempt to chase after the helicopters that flew by.

We went on some great hikes down to the beach. Brooklyn seemed to really like the "rough terrain." She loved it that Bella and Maddie could go along. She would bark and pant the whole time and when we got back she insisted that she drink water with and like the doggies.

We took a couple trips down the the tide pools in Dana Point. Brooklyn loved watching her first sunset.

Curt's attempt at taking some artistic photos. Not bad:)

We had such a great time, I can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Swimming Lessons

Brooklyn is doing so good at swim these days! She's excited to go and is becoming more and more independent with each lesson. She has a great time, and smiles or laughs the whole time.
Here are some videos of her recent lesson. While she's floating on her back she's talking. I have no idea what she's saying, but it's fun to watch:)

We always try to stay and watch Kate and Luke's turn right after. Here they are enjoying a snack while we watch Kate.

Catch Up

I'm in the process of doing some major catch up on blogging. I had a whole bunch of videos that, for some reason, I couldn't download. So, I've figured it out and there will finally be some new posts!
